Question:
What are the browser requirements to use BUILDER?
Answer:
BUILDER was originally designed to be used with Internet Explorer. There is current work to make the application browser agnostic but until this work is complete, use the latest version of Internet Explorer. Other browsers will work but certain areas or functions may not be available.
If a control on a page such as a table is not rendering correctly or is not behaving as you think it should, it may be an issue with rendering and compatibility in Internet Explorer. The first thing you should do is check your compatibility view settings. There should not be any websites in the compatibility view window, specifically, "army.mil."
The following provides instructions to remove websites from compatibility view in IE 8, IE 9, IE 10 and IE 11.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Tools button, and then click Compatibility View Settings. Uncheck "Display intranet sites" in Compatibility View.
3. Remove "army.mil" from the Compatibility View Websites if listed.
4. Click Close when you're done.
Also, if accessing a BUILDER site on an intranet, you may have to change your intranet security settings. Follow these steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then
• Click Sites
• Uncheck “Automatically detect intranet network"
• Click OK
4. Click OK to close the dialog when you're done.
