When you browse to BUILDER using just HTTP we automatically redirect you to the secure version (HTTPS). Our ability to automatically redirect will be going away before the New Year (2017), per OMB memorandum M-15-13.

If you have a previous bookmark which connects as HTTP, it will no longer work and you should update your link to read HTTPS.

For users that already have the DoD Root Certificates, this is all you will have to do.

However, our non-government users may have a different experience - specifically, users that do not have the DoD Root certificates installed may have problems. The HTTPS-Only feature also removes the ability for users to click through warnings about invalid certificates. In this case, users without the DoD Root Certificates and browsing using HTTP, will likely get an error page with little or NO explanation.

To install the DoD Root Certificates, please go to https://militarycac.com/dodcerts.htm and download and install the InstallRoot application.  This application will walk you through the process of installing the latest DoD certificates.

To ensure all our users are able to reference the content on all of our websites, please ensure all your links and references to BUILDER (and all DoD websites) use HTTPS.
