BRED lookup files not updating

If during start of the BRED application the user gets a popup with the message "The lookup data for this BRED file is out of date, would you like to download it?", and the user cannot download the update, it is generally due to a certificate error.

In order to fix the issue, the user will need to download the DoD Certificates. 

The DoD certificates can be found here: https://militarycac.com/dodcerts.htm 

The user will then have to restart their computer.
