Authority to Operate (ATO) Status for SMS Systems (BUILDER) and Remote Entry Database (BRED)
This memorandum for record addresses the ATO status of the BUILDER SMS System and Builder Remote Entry Database (BRED) application included in the software list for all applications included within our Builder SMS ATO boundary. BRED is currently covered within our ATO for the current environment to meet the RMF 2.0 continuous monitoring standards for the remainder of the lifecycle of the application.
The ATO extension of the BUILDER SMS System through 30 July 2027 (see attachment) includes the BRED application in the ATO and its availability for use as we continue to provide support in the current Builder SMS environment as we migrate to the Enterprise Sustainment Management System (E-SMS).
